Enemies of America?

Forty-one United States senators signed a letter in an attempt to silence one, single, US citizen by sending the letter to his employer. They wish to deny this citizen of his right of free speech by labeling his comments as "unpatriotic and indefensible." They ask his employer to "publicly repudiate" Rush Limbaugh and require him to issue an apology.

Those senators are:
Harry Reid
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Blanche Lincoln
Richard Durbin
Kent Conrad
Bob Menendez
Charles Schumer
Christopher Dodd
Barbara Mikulski
Patty Murray
Byron Dorgan
Bill Nelson
Daniel Akaka
Dianne Feinstein
Barack Obama
Max Baucus
Tom Harkin
Jack Reed
Joseph Biden
Daniel Inouye
Jay Rockefeller
Barbara Boxer
Edward M. Kennedy
Ken Salazar
Sherrod Brown
John Kerry
Bernie Sanders
Robert Byrd
Amy Klobuchar
Debbie Stabenow
Benjamin Cardin
Mary Landrieu
Jon Tester
Tom Carper
Frank Lautenberg
Jim Webb
Bob Casey
Patrick Leahy
Sheldon Whitehouse
Carl Levin
Ron Wyden

It's a sad day in America when United States senators try to muzzle a US citizen by trying to bully his employer into taking action against that citizen.

This kind of action on the part of one of the legislative branches of the United States government is unprecedented in modern history.

Who, other than an enemy of America and all the positive things America stands for, would do such a thing?

If any one of the above is your senator, you should be very afraid...

Ignorant Americans

In a recent poll, nearly half of Americans believe the US economy is in a recession. Nearly 70% of Blacks believe the same thing.

It's obvious to me that these people have no idea whatsoever what a recession is and they are more than a tad ignorant.

It's sad to realize these same people are supposed to understand complex presidential election issues so that they may make informed choices when it comes time to pull that lever.

I am truly frightened.

Doughnut may cost man 30 years to life

It's time for societal dregs to turn themselves around. There is no reason on earth that this man had to use force to steal a doughnut. He (and others) thinks that stealing a doughnut by force is no big deal. I disagree. This man knew it was wrong...he needs to accept the consequences...and others need to learn from his actions.

No end to idiots in the world...

There seems to be no shortage of idiots in the world. You'd think that everyone knows that joking about being a terrorist at an airport is not cool. Well, except maybe this guy.

University Hypocrisy?

Check out this CNN story about Donald Rumsfeld.

"...Students and professors at Stanford University are protesting Donald Rumsfeld's appointment to a campus think tank, saying the former defense secretary does not uphold the 'ethical values' of the school."

Doesn't it seem odd that while one prestigious university would embrace the killer-dictator of Iran, another would snub a former United States Secretary of Defense?

Where is the collegial attitude regarding diversity and the free exchange of ideas?

Perhaps the institution of "higher learning" should be referred to as "higher hypocrisy" instead?
